The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino and team owner Dave Elmore were both recognized for their work during the opening days of this year's Baseball Winter Meetings being held in National Harbor, Maryland. The 66ers were the recipient of both the Class A Bob Freitas Award and a Minor League Baseball Presidential Citation while Elmore was named the 2016 King of Baseball.
The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino announced Monday that the club will play host to a Happy Holiday Double Feature Night on Friday, December 9th at San Manuel Stadium. The free to the public event, presented by the 66ers Foundation, will start at 6pm with the showing of a Charlie Brown Christmas followed by a 7:00pm showing of Elf.
On Thursday it was announced that Inland Empire of 66ers owner Dave Elmore was named the 2016 King of Baseball. The King of Baseball is a long-standing tradition in which Minor League Baseball recognizes a veteran of professional baseball for longtime dedication and service. Elmore will receive the award at the Baseball Winter Meetings on Sunday, Dec. 4.
